While nature can exist independently of humans, we rely heavily on natural resources. Unfortunately, our disconnection from nature and our own natural selves has contributed significantly to climate change. This disconnection often leads to uncompassionate behaviors that harm the environment.
Mindfulness offers a solution by helping us become fully present and aware of our thoughts, feelings, and surroundings. This workshop employs forest bathing, a Japanese practice rooted in tradition, to guide participants in mindfulness. Forest bathing, or “shinrin-yoku”, is more than a casual walk in the woods. It’s about connecting with nature on a deep, sensory level.
